Easy Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

If you’re looking for a delicious and Easy Beer Cheese Dip Recipe, this one is perfect. It’s creamy, cheesy goodness with the surprise ingredient, beer. I know, if you are like me, you might be thinking what a strange combination.

The first time I tried this cheesy snack was at a college school cafeteria, since it has beer in it, I was surprised it was even on the menu. I had this with pretzels, and I was hooked. Finding this recipe was on my to-do list because I wanted my family and friends to be able to enjoy this scrumptious snack.

Easy Party Snack Dip

You know the feeling. You’re sitting in your favorite spot on a Saturday afternoon, and someone suggests that you host a party at your house. Now what? How do I feed people without spending an arm and a leg? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

This easy beer cheese dip is perfect for any party and requires just 5 ingredients. The best part about this recipe is that it can be made in minutes. You don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen when you want something tasty to snack on during game day or your next party.

Ingredients in the Cheesy Dip Recipe

This recipe has just 5 ingredients that are easy to find in your local grocery store. Often, I have these ingredients on hand in my pantry and refrigerator. Whenever we get the urge to have a cheesy snack, I can whip this up in minutes and we can enjoy this pub-style beer cheese dip right at home anytime.

Ranch Dry Dip Mix. Just the packet of dip mix that you find in the salad dressing aisle.

Cream Cheese. Soften the cream cheese for easy mixing.

Beer. I like to use a light or pale ale as it gives just a hint of the beer taste without being overpowering. However, if you are a real beer lover and like the dark ale beer taste, go ahead and add that instead. This recipe is perfect for a non-alcoholic beer. If you do not like the taste of beer or prefer not to have the alcohol in the recipe, a lemon-lime soda can be used successfully.

Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded. I use the sharp cheddar cheese; however, you can change the type of cheese used in this recipe. Feel free to experiment with different kinds of cheese. Here are a few ideas to try pepper jack cheese , Monterey jack cheese , Colby cheese , white cheddar cheese, or a Swiss cheese.

Optional Garnish Topping

Green Onions. These are optional. I like the crunch and slight bit of heat from the green onion pieces in the dip. However, I do have some guests that do not like eating onions. Therefore, depending on who I am serving this appetizer to, I will add this or leave it out or have it on hand to sprinkle on top.

Everyone’s taste buds are a bit different, so use the shredded cheese and beer flavor that you enjoy the taste of.

How to Make the Easy Beer Cheese Dip Recipe

I serve this appetizer dip cold; therefore, it is a great recipe to make ahead of time. It just takes a few minutes. Store it in an airtight container and it will last refrigerated up to 7 days.

The recipe is truly easy to make.

Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit for about an hour and come to room temperature. You can also use a very low power setting on your microwave and soften it for 30 seconds.

Once the cream cheese is softened, add it to a mixing bowl with the rest of the ingredients, Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix, shredded cheese, and beer. Mix and serve with the diced green onions on top if desired.

That’s it, this recipe is so easy, it can be made for special occasions, Holidays, game day, or a relaxing movie night with the family.

Store this dip in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 7 days. That makes this a great make ahead snack recipe. Perfect for snacking anytime.

However, this is not a good recipe to freeze. The cream cheese will change consistency and will not be as creamy when served cold. If you plan on warming this dip, then you could freeze it.
