We have been making this for many years and it was one of many soup recipes that we make originally developed at a local restaurant. Many years ago, okay, decades ago, this new soup recipe was added to the menu. It has remained there since.  When we developed the soup, we chose to serve it with a dollop of sour cream and tortilla chips on the side.

This Mexican inspired dish is bursting with tons of flavor and texture from the combination of beef, beans, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and so much more.

It just takes a few minutes to brown the hamburger and add the rest of the ingredients to the soup kettle. Heat everything through and your taco flavored healthy soup is ready to enjoy.

How to Make the Best Easy Taco Soup Recipe

Taco soup can be made in a large soup pot on the stove in about 30 minutes. The great thing about this recipe is that it’s takes a few simple ingredients and transforms them into a hot and delicious filling soup that is perfect for those chilly fall and winter evenings.

Here’s how easy it is to make:

Using a large soup kettle 5 quart, brown the hamburger breaking it in smaller pieces up as it cooks.

Once the beef is browned, add the diced onion and celery, salt, black pepper, green beans, and taco seasoning. Continue cooking 2-3 minutes.

Add the Tomato Juice, Tomato Soup, and Diced Tomatoes to the kettle. Once the remaining ingredients have been added, I like to fill the soup kettle with water to approximately 1-inch from the top if using a 5-quart kettle. Over medium-high heat, bring to a boil stirring occasionally.

Serve it up, garnish and enjoy.
