Our whole family loves cottage cheese and often, we will eat it with fresh fruit. In fact, the only way my husband will eat it is with fresh pineapple. Unless it is made into the pink fluff salad recipe.

Pink Fluff Recipe Variations

I was at a baby shower many, many years ago when I had my first taste of a pink fluff. My first taste was a strawberry version. I distinctly remember going back for seconds. I remember asking around for the recipe. Now I know it by heart.

Since then, I have had all kinds of jello fluff salads such as strawberry fluff salad with fresh and frozen strawberries, raspberries, orange fluff salad with mandarin oranges, and blueberry fluff salad too. There seems to be tons of different variations to the fruit and jello fruit salad flavors.

Most of the time, I see the version with cottage cheese in the recipe. Some people do not like the cottage cheese version due to the texture. However, for me, the little bits of the cheese curd are those extra tasty bits that I love.

When making this recipe, it is easy to swap out the kind of fruit you are using and the gelatin flavor. It all works. I have made this using frozen fruit and it works out well too.

If you like tiny marshmallows in yours, add up to 1 cup in this recipe.

There is a slightly different version of a strawberry jello fluff salad recipe that uses dry pudding mix such as white chocolate instant pudding as well as strawberries and mini marshmallows too that you might enjoy.

If you like fluffy and light dessert options you might enjoy these.

How to Make Raspberry Fluff Jello Salad

For me, this old fluff salad recipe is just the perfect combination of fruit and creamy taste. The fact that it takes about 5 minutes to make is even better.

It is literally, just a container of cottage cheese, a small box of flavored gelatin, and about 3 cups of fresh fruit. Today I used fresh raspberries. Mix all the ingredients together.

Fold the Cool Whip in with the other ingredients until combined.  Try not to overmix and deflate the Cool Whip.

Spoon into serving containers or spoon it into a large pretty serving bowl.

If you want to get fancy, add some whipped topping and fresh fruit on top.

Place in your serving container and cover with plastic wrap for best results before you store in the refrigerator. Otherwise, the yummy salad could pick up other flavors from the refrigerator. The next day, when you are ready to serve, add the whipped cream or whipped topping and fresh fruit garnish just before I serve this.
