Garlic Aioli Sauce

How to Make this Simple Lemon Lime Aioli Sauce

You may be surprised that there is no food processor, no egg yolks or olive oil, and you don’t have to zest anything if you don’t want to.

To be honest, I think it is nice if you can use the juice of fresh lemons and limes. The lemon zest and lime zest could be used in place of the juice. However, I don’t always have that on hand. I do, however, almost always have a jar of the fresh juice from the grocery store on the door of my refrigerator.

You don’t need much as the flavors can overpower quickly since you will be making less than a cup of this sauce at a time.

A real no fuss recipe. In a small mixing bowl, just add the mayonnaise (yes, the kind right from the jar), fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, and garlic powder so a small bowl and mix. Salt and pepper to taste. I added about 1/8 teaspoon salt and pepper. Once all the ingredients are mixed, it is ready to drizzle on your favorite dish.

You could use an immersion blender but mixing with a teaspoon works just fine for this simple recipe.

Make this more of a garlic mayonnaise by increasing the amount of garlic powder in this recipe. Fresh garlic can also be added. If using the garlic clove, make sure to use a garlic press. This helps incorporate the garlic throughout the aioli sauce.
