Simple Fried Pork Sirloin

Pork is a great meat to cook, even for the novice. It’s high in protein and lower in fat than other meats.

I was inspired to make this recipe from pork sirloin as it was on sale, but it is usually readily available near me and reasonably priced. You could also use pork chops for this recipe.

What’s important in a Steak or Chop Seasoning?

I use a steak seasoning blend, not usually brand specific. I look at the ingredients and choose flavors that my family likes such as; garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and onion.

I also like to add in some herbs occasionally such as oregano and parsley. Italian seasoning blends work well too.

What to pair with Pork?

The side of choice for many pork dishes is coleslaw. You can pair a cream based or a vinaigrette based slaw with pork chops, steaks, and even pulled pork sandwiches.

Our Sweet and Tangy Cilantro Lime Slaw is the perfect pairing for this recipe with a uniquely bright and fruity flavor.

Orange Marmalade for Pork

Fruity flavors have long been a staple combination with pork. For some reason, the sweetness plays tremendously well with pork.

Marmalade For Pork Sirloin

My family loves to use orange marmalade with pork and this recipe is no exception. I use the marmalade as is, right out of the jar. The orange dollop makes for a beautiful presentation as well. Consider drizzling over the top as well!
