Recipe Variations

I like to put two strawberries in the bottom of the glass with a little granulated sugar and muddle them. This is closer to the way Starbucks serves their strawberry frappe.

  • Swap out half the milk for vanilla ice cream.
  • The whipped cream is optional. But we love it at our house.
  • Top with chocolate shavings.

Drizzle strawberry syrup over the top for added strawberry flavor. You can make your own strawberry sauce using a simple syrup with strawberries, or you can purchase it at grocery stores.

Can I use fresh strawberries instead of frozen?

Yes, this is a great drink for using fresh strawberries. For that thick, slushy-like consistency, add more ice to compensate for the lack of frozen fruit..

What if I don’t have vanilla extract?

While vanilla extract adds depth to the flavor, you can leave it out without drastically changing the taste. Another option is to use a splash of vanilla-flavored syrup. You can try substituting it with alternatives like almond extract, maple syrup, or a pinch of cinnamon. These options can add depth and flavor to your recipe, though the exact flavor profile may vary slightly from the original.

Blended Strawberry Frappe with Fruit on the Bottom and Whipped Cream

Can I make this strawberry and cream Frappuccino without a blender?

For best results, use the blender. To get that thick and smooth texture, the blender does the best job. However, another option is to use a food processor, but it might not be as smooth.

Can I add coffee to make it a caffeinated drink?

Yes, you can add a shot of espresso or ½ cup of strong brewed coffee for a caffeine kick. However, it will change the taste slightly.

Blended Drink for Special Occasions

The best part, the pretty pink hues in this creme Frappuccino are perfect for special occasions. This is a pretty blended drink to make for your sweetheart on Valentine’s day. Make this for mom for Mother’s day. It’s sure to be a welcomed treat.
