Simple Ingredients in this Cheesy Meatball and Ravioli Bake

This recipe is not fussy and there are minimal ingredients. There are so many options and ways to make this recipe just right for your liking. Just make a couple of different layers. Let’s explore a few.

Frozen Cheese Ravioli. I used a bag of cheese ravioli that I had in the freezer. There are so many types of ravioli that you can find at your local grocery store now. I have used spinach and cheese, mushroom, sausage and cheese filled, and squash and cheese filled ravioli. Use the kind that you enjoy.

Pre-Cooked Frozen Meatballs. Today, I used homestyle. I also had a bag of Italian meatballs that I could have grabbed out of the freezer today. Here is another place to use the type of meatball with the right flavoring and type of protein that you prefer.

Spaghetti Sauce. The larger 32-ounce jar is what I used today with chunky vegetables. If you have canned sauce, a spaghetti meat sauce, or even an onion and garlic marinara sauce. That would all work amazingly well for adding just the right amount of rich tomato flavor.

Pre-Shredded Frozen Cheese. I like to use mozzarella in this recipe; however, there are other great tasting cheese options that would work well here, cheddar, slices of muenster, provolone, and American cheese. Shredding your own cheese also works, but I did not have any other cheese in my refrigerator today. Therefore, the pre-shredded in my freezer was my go-to.
