Storing & Reheating (If You Actually Have Leftovers!)

Guacamole is best fresh, especially when made in the shell. But you can save it with a few tricks:

  • Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning.
  • Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • If it browns slightly on top, scrape off the thin layer. Underneath is still green and delicious.
  • No reheating needed; simply stir and enjoy chilled or at room temperature.

This crazy fast guacamole is the kind of simple, wholesome recipe we love on busy homestead days. Quick, fresh, and made right in the avocado shell. With just a few ingredients and endless ways to customize it, it’s the perfect last-minute snack, side, or topping the whole family will devour.
