Helpful Tips

  • Don’t overmix the batter. Overmixing can cause the fritters to be tough.
  •  Don’t overcrowd the pan when frying. This helps the oil maintain the temperature. Which helps the fritters cook evenly.
  • Maintain a constant frying temperature of 375 degrees F for best results. The temperature drops when adding batter. Adjust the heat slightly as needed. Use a candy thermometer to keep track of the oil temperature for consistent frying.

Apple Fritter Donuts: A Perfect Treat

Apple fritter donuts are one of my favorite treats. However, they need to be fresh, with a soft inside and a crispy outside. The glaze on the outside really enhances the sweetness while adding the perfect touch of texture. When made just right, these fritters are irresistible, combining the flavors of apple pie and sweet treats into one delicious bite.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

For longer storage, refrigerate for 4-5 days.

The best way to reheat is in a toaster oven at 350°F for 5 minutes.

Can I bake these apple fritters instead of frying them?

Yes! While frying gives the best crispy texture, you can bake them at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
