Corn on the Cob or Removed
This sweet, creamy, and delicious corn can be left of the cob or cut off the cob. I find that if I spend just a few moments cutting the corn off the cob, I can get more in a baking pan.
Further, my family loves their corn this way because they can eat it with a spoon and get some buttery sauce with each bite.
Easy Baked Corn Recipe
Once you have prepared the corn to your liking, simply toss the corn in the baking dish, and add the toppings. This makes this a great recipe to make enough for a crowd. They will thank you for this.

Can Sweet Corn Ever Be Too Sweet?
At our house, we love our sweet corn. Add a few simple ingredients to the corn and the taste is taken to the next level.
Skillet Honey Butter Corn
While we make our corn in the oven quite often, this can certainly be made in a skillet. If making this in the skillet, it is important to stir occasionally.
Additionally, we make this in smaller batches if we are going to use a skillet.
One plus about using a skillet for this recipe is that a bit more of the moisture is cooked out of the recipe. You will be left with a thicker, creamier sauce for the corn.
Ingredients Used in the Baked Honey Butter Corn
Simple recipe that uses four main ingredients with a few additional spices.
Sweet Corn. As mentioned, this can be fresh or frozen. I find that it is easier to eat if the corn is removed from the cob before cooking. Any kind of sweet corn works simply fine for this recipe.
Butter. I use salted butter for this recipe; however, unsalted would work well too. Just adjust the salt to taste when adding the salt and pepper.
Honey. We try to get locally harvested honey. When that is not possible, look for pure honey in the grocery store.
Cream Cheese. The cream cheese adds such a rich and creamy taste and texture.
Salt and Pepper. Adjust to your taste buds.
Paprika. This is sprinkled on after baking for color and taste. However, you could add more if you desire, and it could also be added before baking.
Variations to the Ingredients
If you prefer your corn side dish to have a kick, add some hot sauce or a few sliced jalapenos before baking.
Turn this into a Mexican street food and add Parmesan cheese when the baked corn is removed from the oven.
A few diced scallions sprinkled on top are a nice addition to amp up the flavor profile.
Honey Butter Corn Recipe Success
Enjoy this recipe with fresh or frozen corn. If you are using frozen corn, it is a good idea to thaw and drain the liquid before adding to the pan.
Honey measuring hack. Spray the measuring cup before adding the honey and it will come out of the container easily.
Cutting the corn off the cob. Hold the corn vertically and use a pairing knife to cut down the side of the ear of corn to remove the corn kernels. Rotate the corn a bit and cut down the side again. Do this a few more times until all the corn has been removed from the cob.
Slow Cooker Honey Butter Corn
Add all the ingredients except for the paprika to the slow cooker. Cook on high for 90 minutes or low for 150 minutes. When it is done, sprinkle on the paprika for a delicious no-fuss side dish.
