Ingredients

  • 24 Ounces Blackberries 2 (12 oz) packages of fresh blackberries or frozen blackberries, thawed
  • 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix or white cake mix for a lighter flavor
  • ½ Cup Butter 1 stick of butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the blackberries evenly in the baking dish. If you’re using frozen fruit, be sure it’s thawed and drained of any excess liquid.
  • Sprinkle the entire cake mix evenly over the top of the berries. Don’t mix it—just pour the dry mix straight from the box.
  • Drizzle the melted butter mixture over the top of the cake mix, trying to cover as much of the surface as possible. This helps create that crispy, golden top.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious treat.
