Melt the Chocolate
12 Ounces Milk Chocolate, 1 Cup White Chocolate Chips
Using a Double Boiler
Use a double boiler to melt the semisweet or dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until it reaches the right consistency. Alternatively, microwave the chocolate in 15-second increments, stirring between each until melted.
Microwave Method for Melting Chocolate
Chop your chocolate bars or use chocolate chips for even melting. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl.
Heat the chocolate in the microwave on medium power in 15-second increments. After each interval, remove the bowl and stir the chocolate thoroughly to distribute the heat.
Once the chocolate is mostly melted but still has a few small pieces, stop microwaving and stir until the residual heat fully melts it. This helps avoid overheating the chocolate.
For easier dipping, pour the chocolate in a tall glass.
Dip the Pretzels. Hold each pretzel rod by the uncoated end and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about ¾ of the pretzel. Allow excess chocolate to drip off by gently tapping it against the side of the bowl. For mini pretzels, use a fork to dip them and remove excess chocolate.
Optional white chocolate drizzle. Melt white chocolate chips or almond bark and use a piping bag to drizzle it over the pretzels for a decorative touch.
Add Toppings. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle your favorite toppings like crushed candy canes, festive sprinkles, or mini M&Ms over the pretzels.

Let Them Set. Place the dipped pretzels on the prepared cookie sheet and allow them to set at room temperature or in a cool, dry place for about 15 minutes. If you're in a hurry, refrigerate for 5 minutes.
Store Properly
Once set, transfer the chocolate-covered pretzels to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 1 week.
