Have you ever heard of Kool Aid pickles? Yes, you read that right. These sweet and sour pickles are a popular snack in the Southern United States, and for good reason.
The combination of tart pickles and sweet Kool Aid powder may sound strange, but trust us, it works!

Instructions
It takes less than ten minutes to make this easy recipe.
Just drain the brine from the pickle jar into a medium size bowl with a pour spout or a 2 cup measuring cup.
If the pickles are not already sliced, remove them, slice them and return them to the jar.
Add the Kool-Aid flavoring packet and sugar to the brine. Stir until dissolved.
Pour the brine back over the sliced pickles.
Put the cover back on the jar and refrigerate for 5 days for the new flavors to soak into the cucumbers and give them a new color.
Notes
What is the best flavor of Kool-Aid pickles?
There are so many different flavors available to use. There are over 20 types of Kool-Aid Packets flavors and they will each produce a different flavor. You might have to try a few to find your favorite. Mine are the cherry pickles.
How long do these flavored pickles last?
Once this fun recipe is made, they will last for 30 days in the refrigerator. However, I can’t prove that as they never last that long at our house.
