If you are looking for a flavorful side dish, give this easy roasted asparagus in the air fryer recipe a try. This recipe is simple to follow and takes just minutes to prepare. Plus, the asparagus is cooked perfectly every time.
Clean and trim a bunch of asparagus. Trim about 1 to 1 1/2-inches off the bottom of the stem. Just enough to remove the woody stems. Use paper towels to dry off the excess water. This will help the asparagus crisp in the air fryer.
Add your seasonings. Salt and pepper work well. I have other ideas in the notes section for you to try as well. Coat with oil if you desire but it is not necessary when using an air fryer.
Place it in in a single layer the air fryer basket and cook for just 5 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
At the 5 minutes, use a tongs to rearrange the asparagus spears to assure even cooking.
Continue cooking 5 minutes.
Check for doneness at the 10 minute mark. It should be done.
Every air fryer is different so the cooking time can vary. Also, thin asparagus will cook faster than thick asparagus. If not quite done enough to your liking, cook another 2 to 3 minutes.
That’s it. Serve with your favorite main dish or sauce.
